As all we know that how well plan our government is, they decided to change the famous tourist street into a different name. Just because they have a "new guideline" to match the theme around neighborhood.
Also, KL - Putrajaya Highway now known as Maju Expressway (MEX). Let see how many people heard about the new name? and the old name signboard still standing at the highway, lovely right? If someone tell you follow the MEX, don't think you can find any on the road at moment, I only can wish you all the best. Why can't they decided the name in the first place and no need to keep changing the name.
This naming is so cosmetic issue, why not they focus more on the major issues?
