Misleading Ad..

Read the headline carefully, it is end with *.

"20% storewide*". The small note stated "exclude food, toiletries, gift voucher and promotion items"

Conclusion, it is not storewide sales.

Their sales promos are always sucks & misleading! Went to their Sunway outlet & saw 50% SALE on one island rack. I grabbed 4 bottles of stuffs & went to counter. The bastard told me that the stuffs behind the island was not discounted at all. WTF then don't mislead by displaying so many goods on same island and SALE sign. It should rename FUCKS & SPENDER shop.

Must always be careful of the small * at the end or somewhere. I always look for those.

Legolas dear....I swear there was no *******
I am in ad industry, so ours eyes slightly sharper. They are rip offs. No wonder they are dying here. In UK, they are regarded as mere convenience stores for mid income fellas.

I also read some advertisement put the holy "*", but cannot find any reference what "*" means.

Advertisements often do not tell lies, but more often they don't tell the entire truth.

Marks & Spencer 一般的产品标价很高。今年和表弟去KLCC 买衣服冷门品牌,大折扣40% RM119,结果到PARKSON看,特价品一律RM60。之后就没去过了。反而Tangs常有以外收获。

Better ask first before purchasing.

Twilight Zone: I faced the same problem before. But I did inform the manager on duty and make sure they give me the discount. :)

Legolas, [sk], chris: I read those; but sometime they don't list down the term and condition. No term and condition listed mean None Term of Condition. I will asked the manager to give me a copy in blank and white. In US, they will get sue. They are twisting the word. "Exclude" mean not storewide sales.

vincent: Yeah! This is what I mean.

tz: Agreed.

Nishiki: They should tell the entire story. If not, they should put "for reference only".

滑翔翼: M&S is on the high-end side. But it is cheap at other countries. :(

jason: Sure I am, my dear.
