A Tired Trip plus 2 Drama

Was away for business trip.. It was freezing cold and was tired with the daily meeting which did not get anywhere..

Apart from the drama in my work, there was another one way more exciting and interesting (in the wrong way) happened in my homeland.

Lifebook became FAMOUS overnight. Lifebook is listed as No. 1 on the gossip chart in the blog's world.

I received few SMS alerts from some close friends. I was fully aware of the hot gossips since a while back, but I never knew the actual contents.

Am still not sure on the gossip's origin content. Blog is like an updating website. We are all adults so act like an adult. Get a life friend! But the question is a nude or not nude.. Am not even sure now.. LOL.. You guys go find out yourself.

The important point is I never met this person before. If not mistaken, I did send messages but no reply. Not until someone pointed out to me.. who the person is.

Hmm.. No need to explain more here.

Anyway, I personally do not respect but look down on those bloggers who spy on others, bad mouth & backstabbing, yet not brave enough to show his face besides not admitting his own wrongdoing! Then, proceed to play & mince with words to cover his own mistake.

The fire is totally out of control anyway.. Fire can be a friend sometimes, and it could burn too.. They will find thier own inner peace. :).

Just remember the cause and effects.

Enough of this drama. I still have more important & happier things to deal with.

2. Get a promotion.. This will tough, but at least I try my best.

I am wonder helping a company to save money will it get a thumb up from the boss. In many cases, if we do not use the fund allocated, end of the day someone else will fully utilized the fund. We must well touch the money in a good manner, rather than benefit other. My personal experience, I managed to save few thousands for the company, but my colleague decided to spend the money in 5 minutes.

Yeah, we have to be selfish in the work place. It is a place equal to crocodile swam. A wrong move will cause bad injuries or kill by no time. If you want to learn please go back to the school. The office is not a place to be mercy. Protect your own right. :)

Is a big corporate normally less co-operation between departments? This is how I felt in the current company. I hardly know people in other departments. Unlike my previous company, I basically know who and who.

In general, I felt the current division I work in is lacking of leadership. They still maintain the same old process for the past n years. Everything is in a box. It could be challenge for open the box. Are they ready for the changes will be other big questions?

Being a risk taker, I have planned to introduce new solution in different stages when they are ready; however, I have to do my homework first and plan out the master plan.

The "3 kingdoms" is a good description of my current work place. My department is technically divided into 3 major groups base on the functionality.

First kingdom - The winter queen ... you can hardly hear any noise in the office.. feeling the chilling air and the the sound of fans & air con.

Second kingdom - The poor snow monkey king .. this kingdom contains of many monkeys. No joke, they are just eating banana most of the time and no need to work. The most hard work they do is making noise, translate into complaints.

Third kingdom - Not enough information at the moment.

This is the first Saturday I not required to work after 4 years plus. I have to tell you that I miss it very much. I can take my sweet time to do things as I wish. A good start. :)

Yesterday was my last day in my ex-company, my colleagues organized a potluck lunch in the office. It was great lunch, we all had fun.. but it was sad in a way too. Few of my friends SMS to ask me do I cry? The answer is No. It was emotional but I did not cry; however, my colleagues did.

After 3 phone conversations in a day, the bank, M2Hell, not even had a record of my office address. Now, am not sure when I will received the package from them. Sign!! The customer service is super poor.

As usual the conversation:

Me: "Do I really need to remember their name? Can they give me a fake name?"
Customer Service: ".... "

Customer Service: "There is no record shown you called previously?"
Me: "Are you telling me your company always missing record?"
Customer Service: "No.. I did not mean that...."

Customer Service: "All of them are busy at the moment, Can I ask them to call you back?"

Finally, I just told them to cancel the shipment and forget on the package. Wasting my time.. :)

Yesterday was a busy day. House chores in the morning and 2 lunches.

First, my long time best friend's baby full moon party. He held the event at 1World Hotel. I got to say once a friend got married, we are naturally split into the difference category. Most of the guest were married with children. Hardly see myself fitted into this kind of event. Estimated 150 guests and half of them are children. You have to picture yourself seat in a table with people seat around you talking about baby, parenthood, and family. I just stayed for 1 hour .. the max I could handle in a day.

Running late for my second lunch dated. My ex-colleague tried to match me with her best friend.. ha ha.. anyway, need to play along. Most of them are beautify, intelligent, successful in their own way; however, single. Having great time bitching on the ex-company, travel and foods.

Time fly.... 4 years 1 months 29 days... another 1 months plus will be the end of my service in this company.

My colleague commented I just give away the empire which I built from ground up.. without waiting for the reward. I have to agreed with her but the opportunity will not knock on my door twice. At the moment, everything is final. After weeks of "music", my boss finally gave up to convince me to stay.

I still remember on the first time I told my boss about my resignation.. he almost cry in front of me, the redness in his eye and a long silent of 5 minutes.

Anyway, am looking forward to the new company. A place for me to call "home" for next few years.

Google become very handy when you need to draft a resignation letter. Type in the words "Resignation Letter".. A list of web sites show on the browser.. from a simple letter to a very specific.

After a long consideration, I finally decided to leave this comfort company and heading to a new challenging company. Got my letter done and will tender to my boss this coming Tuesday.

Am I sad.. I do. Leaving a department which I setup 4 years ago.. it is hard, but I can't stay put as I will get too comfortable and getting lazy here.

Recently, I have consistently going to gym. My health is getting better and so do my body shape.. eg: tummy is getting smaller.

As for the work, I finally discussed with my immediate superior on accepting new task. He said "Are you telling me that you are out of job?" in a joking way. I am glad that he accepted in a good way and will consider to give me a new task. :)

Between, I received a bottle of perfume - CK Eternity Summer as a work well done from my boss.

It was an unusual family reunion at my uncle funeral. Everyone seems to be happy rather than sad. Which was strange to me.. Even my cousin asked me the same question. ..

I felt sorry to my uncle as his family looks fine from the outside but inside is roughen. The family has been falling apart long time ago over money, women, and business. Maybe is good for uncle to leave as no need to see the family further split into pieces. This is just my view point. Chinese say "No Eye See!!"

A Sudden News

A SMS ring tone break the quiet morning.. I just wonder which staff is about to take a day off. After I read the message I had a long silent moment before I brook the news to my brothers. One of our uncle just passed away this morning. This was a sudden news for us.. and we have not see him for sometime after he have some walking issue.

As we growth older, we slowly experience the older generation is slow leaving us. It is very emotional torture especially those who is very closed to you. As I read the message, there is a fast flash back about my uncle in my mind... Lot of emotion flow out all the sudden ...

Need to going back hometown tomorrow.. I will drive carefully.. and I will be OK. Thank for the concern.

Errr.. account department should keep track this ; otherwise why we need an account department for.

Again this is not our role to monitor this. Current process: Invoice -> Manual payment (Pay Slip) -> Enter into the system.. What if the slip is missing, is it mean we never pay even we already give them the check? How stupid!!!

Sunday. The only rest day in week for me. (I have to work every Saturday) . I normally will fully utilized the time and make sure my time is well spent.

The usual:
600 am: Woke up, doing laundry, reading
700 am: GYM
815 am: Breakfast
830 am: House chores

The unusual:
100 pm: Lunch at Cap Square
145 pm: Jalan Jalan at Pavilion
600 pm: Movie - Taken
900 pm: Japanese food at Wisma Cosway

Long Queue at Not So Smart Tunnel

I was surprise to see long queue at the intersection near Berjaya Time Square. Without second though I turned my car toward the smart tunnel. Guilty!!! I did curse for the person in white uniform for not control the traffic efficiently.....

When I exited from the tunnel, I saw the poor car drivers were queuing immediately after the toll plaza (toward the town center). Mind you, the time is 8am in the morning .. It must be super bad traffic jam inside the smart tunnel. After pay the toll still need to stack in traffic .. -.-" They should get a refund!!!

Last week I faced this .

Today, as usual I am the first arrived and setup the equipment in a space. After that, I went to get water.

When I backed. There was a lady rearrange my equipment - moving my equipments few feet to the front... I am seriously wonder what the earth to the ladies in this gym. Why must they have the "designated" place? There are plenty of free space in front.. and she still want to squeeze into a small space behind me; the worst moved my things without asking.

Maybe is time to ask the gym to draw yellow box just like the car park... ridicules and stupid people!!!! so inconsiderate... sign..

The side effect of day off

This always happen when ever I have a day off. I will have better clear mind. I start pick up all the weak signal from the unknown land. End of the off day, I will have a long list of things / tasks for work.

Also, I have to learn to switch off my phone during off day. Calls are non-stop on the morning... not even can have a good rest.

Arrived in the office this morning, the papers stacking on my office table - the invoice, the report, the requirement, etc.. OMG!! Why so much paper in a day.. :( Think I need to work hard for the next few days...

A colleague went for protest yesterday during office, and he lied to the office about his absent in the office due to his car break down.

End up, my another colleague received call asking the location of the protest held and time. The worst part is his photo shows in the newspaper today... How stupid he can be.. sign!!

I was once again appointed (rather than force to clean up the mess) to handle a crazy project. The project really don't have any close connection to my profession. It is more like someone decided to have a new toy but do not know how maintain it.

My boss decided to take over a SPA business. He claimed it will be the next big business of the year. Damn! I don't see any good about it as my company totally don't have any expert in SPA. To make the thing worst, he had agreed to purchase not even have a proper plan and consider the after effect.

Anyway, I am busy on this messy project. Wish me luck..

Boy's Day Out

It has been awhile for my brothers and I going out for dinner, as all of us busy with our own busy schedule. Yesterday was our boy's day out. :)

We went to Mid Valley. The traffic was OK. Surprisingly, we managed to get a parking easily. We spent 4 hours walking around plus dinner.

Our damaged as follow:
1. 3 pairs office shoes.

2. 1 pair sport shoe.

3. 3 gym pants.

4. 4 Nike shirts.

5. Grocery.

However, they asked us to print 2 copies of the air waybill instead of 1. They already can trace the package/shipment via the bar code scan; and all the information already registered via internet.
